News Pundits Are Wrong About Arming Ourselves

Just heard a pundit on CNN state that Americans arming themselves will not stop a terrorist...his reasoning was pretty simple, albeit wrong.   The basic premise he had was this...the second you pull your gun on a terrorist, you are going to be the first one to get shot.

1.  The terrorist has to see you pull out and aim your concealed firearm.

2.  The pundit is assuming that there is only one armed citizen in the room/location where the terrorist is taking pot  shots at UNARMED INNOCENT CITIZENS.  What happens if two, or five, or twenty citizens in different parts of the room/location are pulling out their concealed weapons and taking aim, then shooting at the terrorist.   Would guess at least one of them is going to drop said terrorist dead in his tracks.

Fact...if you and everyone else in the room/location are unarmed, you have NO CHANCE at stopping a shooter or terrorist bent on killing as many people as possible with a rapid fire long rifle capable of spewing out 30 or so shots in a matter of seconds.   If some of the people in the room or location have a loaded weapon on their body, there is a chance one of them can get off a shot that injures or even kills said shooter or terrorist.

Arming ourselves gives us (no pun intended) a shooting chance, to some degree levels the playing the field, and might just give a shooter/terrorist some pause before they implement their suicidal attack on innocent citizens here in America.

To Terrorists Family...We Do Not Care About Your Pain...To The Press and President Obama, Leave Our Guns Alone

We all had to  endure a very odd and long press conference held by the attorneys for the family of the two terrorists who killed 14 people, injured 21 others in a ruthless, maniacal, senseless attack in San Bernardino.  The two take a ways?  They want Americans to not rush to judgement regarding this brutality being a terrorist attack, and suggesting now is the time for us as a Christian nation to exercise forgiveness. 

First, let there be no doubt...the bloody ruthless killing of 14 people, the injuring of 21 others was/is and always will be a terrorist attack, and if the woman terrorist's Facebook post is to believed,  she is associated, be it directly or indirectly, with ISIS.   Secondly, most of us could care less about your family's pain right at this moment.  Our caring goes out to the families and friends of those 14 families who have lost a loved one just at the start of the Christmas Holidays.   Our sympathies go out to the family and friends of those injured in this senseless,demonic attack of terrorism. You appearing on the news seeking sympathy and understanding for the terrorists families is, in my opinion, in very poor taste.

Let's move on to the press, and to President Obama who is going to speak to the nation tonight about Terrorism and gun control legislation...him and the press seem to be following two separate lines of reasoning that contradict each other.

On the one hand, we have both the press, and the Obama Administration chiding us to we careful not to punish five million peaceful Muslims (is this an oxymoron?) because of the terrorists actions of a few bad apples who have, are and will continue to attack us.  On the other hand, they seem fine attacking our "Second Amendment Rights" because of the of a few.

If we are not supposed to group all Muslims together under the concept of shared or group guilt (much like Black Lives Matter does), if it is unfair to blame all Muslims for the actions of a few, then why is it affair to go after millions of law abiding American gun owners because of the actions of a few terrorists and mad men/women.   Personal accountability on one hand, but group guilt and group punishment on the other?

Equality for all means no double standards and yet the press and our President are trying to have exactly that...DOUBLE STANDARDS.   If America's gun owners under the concept of shared guilt are going to have our rights abridged, then under that same concept of shared guilt should not all Muslims have their rights abridged?   Or instead, under the concept of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, should we as Americans caution ourselves not to blame all Muslims for the actions of a few, while being secure under that same concept that our elected officials will not abridge our Second Amendment Rights because of the actions of a few bad apples?

Let's not kid ourselves...Syed Farook WAS A TERRORIST, IS A TERRORIST, and surprise of all surprises, he just happens to be a Muslim!

Not saying here that all Muslims are terrorist, but am saying that "ALMOST ALL TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIMS!"  That is not prejudice, that is a fact that we need to accept, and once there has been acceptance, we as a nation need to decide what we are going to do about that fact, and how we are going to handle any future immigration into America of Muslims, regardless of their country of origin.  We as a nation should also give serious consideration to a "National Registry" that tracks all Muslims, and perhaps need to consider placing any Muslim who posts anti American rhetoric online on our "No Fly List".  

Syed Farook did not just lose his temper...he had planned an attack, perhaps not this attack, but some kind of an attack meant to kill Americans.   Explosives, Long Rifles, Hand Guns, Bullet Proof Clothing are not something he just had laying around his apartment.  They were planned purchases made with forethought and purpose.  His actions in San Bernardino were not the actions of a disgruntled employee, they were and are the actions of a terrorist meant on bringing America to it's knees.  How many more Syed Farook's are hiding in the Muslim community, going to Muslim Mosques, praying to Allah while planning attacks against us?

The "Statue of Liberty" does not tell the world, "Give us your terrorists, your misfits, your mentally corrupt and insane, give us your Radical Islamic Fundamentalist bent on doing harm to our nation. The time to tighten up our immigration rules and regulations, the time to secure our borders, and the time to track every Muslim visitor to America is upon us.   Lastly....sorry President Obama, but in these troubling times the last thing America needs to do is bring in 10-20,000 refugees from war torn Syria.   Like it or not, the mathematical odds guarantee you that some of those refugees are going to be  terrorists in sheep's clothing, and that is not a risk most Americans are willing to stomach in the name of being humane World Citizens.
